PCGS graded my Paquet/Barber medalets

most of these are mentioned in this NGC article:
https://www.ngccoin.com/news/article/7017/Paquet-Medalets/

per coinweek less than 200. Not a medalet. fat slab.

5677 per above article. In a fat PCGS slab.

silver versions are quite common. Bronze perhaps less so. Not sure why its listed as silver

unlisted but mentioned in above article. polished example on ebay.

these large medalets are perhaps the most common and are impressive in high grades.
AU examples like this one probably not worth the slab.
On first glance this appeared damaged and was headed for the golf bag.
But I decided to send this Death Mask Lincoln in anway.
Im laminated that PCGS confirmed the Lincoln forehead crack is not damage.
See the cross on his eye like old cartoons of dead critters.
crack extends to the side of his nose in a little half moon.
looks like it might continue behind the head.
I thought about using a tooth pick to see if I could pry the fragment off - then it might be worth something.

I've always thought these were so cool.
I purchased mine here on the boards about 20 years ago:

They are cool medals and a lot of research still needs to be done on them.

The bronze Garfield appears to be an early 20th century “restrike.”

The last one, the Lincoln Garfield pairing, appears to be double struck with slight movement between strikes. That is pretty typical for lots of medals like these that required more than one strike to fully bring up the design.
