@TMCerebus said: "thesouthdoesitagain" ... so if I got this correct for your experience ... the VALUE order was received on 06/30, estimated to end on 10/13, but is almost done on 09/11.
That means the order estimate was like 73 business days, and we are 51 business days so far. So it is going to be a bit over the 45 bus days being advertised now, but not the 65 general VALUE estimate or the 73 est for your specific order.
I just had my last VALUE PLUS (20 business day estimate) submission completed. Acknowledged received 07/03 and completed 09/09. So, that was 46 business days, or 130% over the PSA estimate.
SO, in summary ... my experience says that VALUE PLUS (20 BUS DAY) is more like 45 business days. Your experience, that VALUE (45 BUS DAY) is more like 53 business days.
Perplexing, why they say in two different places that the turnaround for VALUE is 45 bus days. But, when they received my two submissions they put estimates that are 60 bus days. Why not 45 bus days? Seems they aren't sure what their estimate is!!!!
They just changed it. Back to expected delays.
There's 10 more days for my (4) small 65-day subs to be completed on time.
1 has been in QA check for a couple weeks, 2 are in Assembly for awhile, and 1 recently reached Grading.
It's not looking good, but who knows, they could still pull it off.
All MOOT anyways, since PSA estimates are meaningless.
As I've proven, via 20+ submissions this year ...
on average PSA takes 40% longer than their estimates,
75% of the time PSA takes 80% longer than their estimates,
14% of the time PSA takes 160% longer than their estimates
What good is an estimate then? When does an estimate become just a wild guess, or a marketing ploy?
Also, you can send them a submission when they are saying "this estimate" then once they have it they change it to "this estimate". I.e. you submit to them when they are saying 45 bus days, then a week after they have your submission they start quoting a new estimate of 60 bus days.
Also, as my recent experience shows, they advertise at 45 bus days ... then when they get it they give your particular submission an estimate of 60 bus day ... while still boasting 45 bus days on the website.
"You take your car to the dealership to fix an issue, ...
they estimate the cost as $1,000 to repair, but they end up charging you $1,400 ... still trust their estimates?
OR
they estimate the cost as $1,000 to repair, but after you agree to start the work, they change the estimate to $1,333, and can change the estimate again anytime they like ... still trust their estimates?
OR
they advertise they do this exact work for $1,000, but after you agree to start, they estimate $1,333 for "your car", while still advertising the $1,000 to others ... still trust them?"
