Ha, this would be funny if it weren't so sad that crap like this happens.

A reasonable question. Well two ways . . . hopefully @pcgs_social can vouch for me and since I have NEVER sold anything on here and do not intend to, I guess it does not really matter if it's me or not!

I got an email with an unsolicited link to reset my password. Link had expired. Asked for another email and presto it worked. The tird did leave a "draft" calling people suckers tho. When someone else asked for a tracking # they sent them a link to a porn site.

  • Yay! Glad to see you are back. Russell's account is back to his OG email, he showed us previous emails from his account that prove it is his, and he even sent us a picture of the slabbed coin in his profile picture. Hopefully that gives you all some more peace of mind moving forward!

Prior to that email I don't recall ever clicking on unsolicited links. Besides it looked exactly like the other 99 password reset emails that I got from PCGS.

I don't mean it to be critical. Just a warning to others.

Weren't prior password reset emails solicited?

I can think of at least one way someone can get your email from this site. If you choose to make your email visible in your profile then anyone who is logged in can see it. So, if someone wants to hack your account they can set up a valid PCGS account on these boards and then surf through everyone's homepages looking for those folks who have their email posted.

Another way is to go through the private message (PM) history of a hacked account before taking over the account. How many PCGS members have shared their personal email addresses, phone numbers or home addresses in PMs with other members? If you have done so, and if the recipient member has not deleted the PM, then if the account is hacked the hacker need only look through old PMs to find private information on folks who have not yet been hacked.

Everyone should delete old private messages in order to protect one another, but few do so.

I had been working with Isa to get my account ba yesterday if my email had been hacked and I replied no. After first contact I asked her to change it back to the one I always use.

He was asking how the PCGS mod got my email addy. I don't think it matters really. He got into my account somehow and that's all he needed in order to do his dirty deeds. I see only a way to change mine, but not delete it. AFAIK one cannot delete their PMs.

Of course you can delete your PMs! PCGS does not make it intuitively obvious, but just go to any PM you have and click the large, red "Leave Conversation" button on the right side and the PM will disappear from your account.

Woah now, I guess you got me there, I cant argue with the fact that I'm small timer. Small list of inventory, small office, small number of employees, and small client list. In fact it's so small that we end up spending all this extra time and attention on each individual customer's needs & requests. Clearly we should be setting our sites on automation and growth, scaling and maximizing profits as they say.

Now that you mention it, even our advertisements are small.... :'( . Who knew a full page in the 2026 rebook was only half the size of a magazine page, we really need to get it together here. In light of your duly noted retirement , perhaps you could show us a few of of the ways of the boomin big time players, if you could spare some? I only wish that my life can be an illustrious and successful as yours, thank you for shining a light of wisdom and reflection on our obviously flawed model.

Would you even believe this?! "Full page".....yeah right, maybe for garden gnomes!

I was wondering where you've been , are you going to ship that $6,000 order of gold I paid you for soon?

Beyond tasteless but would be lying if I said I was surprised. FUAH!

Too soon? I'll make sure to issue a statement to all 17 forum members who shamelessly lol'd a joke at a tragic time like this. The audacity of them all to indulge in humor, when the arbiter of truth himself, was so egregiously unamused. Please don't cancel us!

I doubt anyone would waste the time to cancel some irrelevant SMALL TIME coin salesman. Keep joking about those that lost out, no doubt it plays right into your agenda. RTRD!

the disabled would like their status to not be used as an insult

i would like it on the record the PeakRarities used "RTRD" first in another thread but all traces seem to be removed

I always thought you could edit a PM but I was wrong. Never thought I would need to edit a PM.
