Phillipino Pocket Piece

Is anyone else carrying a pocket piece now?
I can’t find my 1936 silver dollar pocket piece (and George V was showing some decent wear), so I started using a 1904 peso. Thus time I have it in a pouch with two clad half dollars and a nickel because I figure the pouch will be less likely to fall out of my pocket.
I bought it in a lot of miscellaneous coins in a Stacks or Spink’s auction 20+ years ago. If I remember next year, I’ll post follow up photos to show how it’s going.

Hmmm… maybe I’m more like a stream that can’t be stepped in twice.
Finding boxes of RCM “prooflike” sets from the 1960s and ‘70s brings back some memories, and it makes me wish I would’ve bought more gold instead of the clad RCM stuff. 😅
Is Shimmy still around?
Not for a long time.

Good to see you, Shiroh-san. I think that peso is a good candidate for a pocket piece. If it was too nice, I'd not want to do that to it, but since she's been around the block a few times, some time as a pocket piece might actually smooth out some of the flaws and make it more appealing.
Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
That was my theory with my 1936 dollar. Someone had scrubbed up ol’ George V with a stiff brush, so I figured 20 years or so as a pocket piece would wear it down to an acceptable VF. I don’t know if I dropped it somewhere or if it’s in a drawer awaiting rediscovery. 🤷♂️
