Hi everyone,
With over 20 years of professional grading experience and, most recently, serving as Vice President at PMG, I wanted to introduce you to the new GCC currency certification sticker service and provide some information, as well as help answer any questions.
The GCC Gold and Evergreen stickers highlight high-quality banknotes within their numeric grade. Since value and opportunity can vary among banknotes of the same grade, the GCC currency certification sticker offers a way to recognize those notes with superior eye appeal. The coin industry has witnessed such a service bring growth and potential for collectors and dealers alike, and GCC is proud to offer this new service to you with transparency and accessibility.
In today’s market, banknotes are required to be graded for maximum potential. Once graded, the banknotes fall into three basic levels within the assigned numeric grade:
Qualifier - A banknote that meets the basic criteria for the numeric grade. Resembles eye appeal on the lower end of the spectrum for that grade.
Evergreen - A banknote with a strong eye appeal for the numeric grade. Representing strength in the market with more growth potential.
Gold - A banknote with top level desirability and eye appeal that lies on the higher end of the spectrum for the numeric grade. Representing top market desirability for that grade with high growth potential.

Hopefully they don’t put these stickers directly on the banknotes themselves like authentication companies like to put stickers directly on autographs themselves. Fortunately whenever one gets a banknote graded it always gets “slabbed” and doesn’t have an option for a sticker on item with separate COA letter/card like the autograph authentication companies do.
Can you imagine?
This is a cool service. Its like CAC but for banknotes.
The sticker will be placed next to the grade, not obstructing anything on the label. Here is an example of the gold.
