Heads up to the $$$ board members

there is a SGC 9 1975 Nolan Ryan Topps card on Ebay for $5,000 or best offer.
One last sold for $4,000, but I think the PSA 9 version is closer to $8,000. I don't usually spend quite this much money on a card, but I think it's a decent deal (by a couple of thousand dollars). Can't be a bad thing for sure. Maybe Mintonly or OPC Tom might want to take a look. Or my buddy Craig. It's not my card and I have no idea who it belongs to.
Work hard and you will succeed!!

Soory. I'm only a $$ board member.
Farewell Ozzy.
Question for the board. Can a SGC card be sent to PSA for grading with the stipulation that the card will only be cracked and put in a PSA holder if the grade remains the same or gets a bump?
I have had SGC holdered cards submitted to PSA with a minimum grade ….and returned in the SGC holder because it did not meet the minimum grade.
I would feel more comfortable buying…if the grade were SGC-9.5.
@olb31 that is a great card, and thanks for the heads up!! I am not scared away by SGC cards at all. I would be in on it, but I recently acquired a PSA 9 OPC Murray rookie and a few other Tom Brady rookies. The card fund needs to be replenished first!!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Thank you for the response
Plus there's a decent chance the seller already sent it to PSA hoping to receive the same grade. I just called PSA and it would cost about $600 according to the PSA rep I spoke with.
Why wouldn't you just keep it the way it is? SGC's have been doing exceptionally well in the auctions, and I get pretty decent prices for my stuff on ebay, nothing great, but decent prices, a few times more than PSA. There are only 3 9's and nothing higher. no 9.5's or 10's. out of 1760 graded.
In fact of out almost 37000 -- 1975 cards graded, there have only been 63 10's and 33 9.5's.
What would be the bump in value/price if PSA gave it an 9? You would think at least 2K.
probably, at least right now. as time passes i think its slightly tighter.
