1872 proof nickel DDO?

I just came across this proof shield nickel at GC. Looks like it is a DDO.

I’m pretty new to shield nickels… are these varieties fairly common? Even on proofs?

I am pretty sure that all of the proofs for that year were struck with that doubled die, I have a hard time recalling ever seeing one that didn't have that obverse, and a quick peek at CoinFacts shows that obverse on every coin pictured there as well.
