PSA slabbing authentic altered VS sending back ungraded?

Hi, any insight into why these would be sent back like this VS slabbed AA?

Big cards I thought they would just slab AA.
Thanks

That I have no idea - I just sent in a trimmed T3 that was sent back to me years ago before they were openly doing the "authentic" thing?

In the comments section, I wrote "please encapsulate Authentic" since card was trimmed. Otherwise I get it back just like yours I believe. I'm sure they're not gonna take the time to contact you and "ask" if you want them 'authentic?'

Because you have to specify in the notes that you want them slabbed as Authentic Altered if they are not eligible for a number grade. For whatever reason it is policy that altered comes back as unslabbed, unless dual graded, where it does get graded authentic if the auto passes (there is no such thing as AA on dual grade cards). Try opening a CRC ticket and ask if you can send them back to get an AA without a total new submission. Then again, you'd probably make more selling them raw on eBay (except for the jordan, maybe send those to SGC or CGC if the alteration isn't obvious)

I guess you went a little too wild with the paper cutter?!
