O.T.: Safe Holiday Travel

Everyone be careful on the roads over the holiday weekend. Lot of crazy drivers out there.
And be careful driving through construction zones. Watch the speed limits. This morning on our last leg home from vacation we were coming west out of Omaha through a diversion with two lanes in each direction, and people were speeding in the left lane. Several miles in there was an unmarked police car on a bridge with a radar gun, radioing descriptions of the speeders he had caught to SEVEN state trooper cars waiting past the construction zone just a little ways down the road. Many tickets were being written.

Keep it under/at 70 don't drive reckless 😉
Don't drive drunk.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.

God comes first in everything I do. I’m dedicated to serving Him with my whole life. Coin collecting is just a hobby—but even in that, I seek to honor Him. ✝️
Last week I got pulled over on I-95 for driving without my seatbelt. The policeman approached my car, and asked if I knew why he pulled me over, and I replied, “No sir”. He said I wasn’t wearing my seatbelt. I replied that I was wearing it, but when I pulled over, I removed it to be able to pull out my wallet, to retrieve my license and registration. He shook his head, then looked at my wife. He said, “Ma’am, you have an honest face. Was your husband wearing his seatbelt when I pulled him over?” She replied, “I make it a policy to never argue with my husband when he’s been drinking!”

Remember when 70 was the 'pushing it' speed, now it's the middle and right lane speed!
Last night I was in the left turn lane. The light turned to yellow and I was going to turn but felt that the driver going in the opposite direction wasn’t going to stop. He didn’t and I’m glad I waited.
Yes, vividly. I go by this old gas station when there were lines during the embargo. Gas was limited to 10 gallons.....
