New BIE discovery 1957-D

There seems to be a bit of a revival of interest in BIEs, with quite a few new folks (and old ones too) searching for them. Recently @CoinHI posted an interesting new discovery of a 1957-D BIE, which might not be so interesting to some folks here, but he discovered it in a BU roll which contained 3 die stages of the BIE !! The first stage is just before the BIE broke out, and the last is fully broken. It was so interesting to see the multiple stages that I created an animation from his images, see below. I only included the pre-BIE and final BIE stages for best clarity, but you can see all his original images at the link here:

BIEs were heavily promoted back in the early 1960s. Maybe the hoarders can now make their fortunes!
never see that set up again
BIEs on a Wheatie!
That really transports me back to my days of
(not low-budget)
but absolute childhood no-budget collecting.
Such fun!
