Weird Walkthrough submission behavior - 1 week - shows received -Cert invalid since Monday

Clackamas1Clackamas1 Posts: 1,405 ✭✭✭✭✭

Last week I sent in a bunch of submissions, a Walkthrough reconsideration and on a different order a restoration. The reconsideration still shows as just "Received" after a week. What is puzzling is that the coin submitted, and 1868 $20 Lib's cert # is showing as invalid and has all week, the coin in for restoration still has a valid cert. I am hopeful this means it got a bump but puzzled that it does not show as even having gone to grading. I don't send coins in like this often, any thoughts on what may be occurring?

I don't generally submit a lot of coins. Typically once or twice a year I will scramble to assemble some items to submit to ensure my vouchers don't go unused and that generally prompts me to assemble a few other items in need of sending off to them. My annual flurry of submissions was in May of this year- A group of raw coins to use my membership vouchers, another submission for world coin crossover, world coin raw, and another submission for restoration. I guess that makes 4 different submissions for me this year. All but one of those submissions tracked similarly to what you describe. Seems to be a lag time in updating the portal with the stage it is at within their processes. In two instances I actually received the coins back in the mailbox, before images were available as well, though that is another topic.

Presumably you wrote the service tier on the outside of the package. PCGS opening packages has been relatively fast last time I sent them a submission.

I did this, and I also had a walkthrough conservation order land at PCGS on June 12, last Thursday. My order is not showing that it’s processed into the system either , but it does show “pending”. I tried to call earlier this week and of course they called me back while I couldn’t answer. Sent an email on Wednesday, haven’t heard anything yet.

I always type “walkthrough” on my my FedEx labels. Almost identical to @clackamas situstion, so I guess we’re in this together lol.

**It now shows it is in QC so there is movement. The reconsider cert is invalid so I guess I got an upgrade.

Yes, I marked them, the Walkthrough's got into the system the same day the package arrived and the other orders did not show up until Tuesday as having been received. I always do that even though it makes me nervous since if you are a thief that shows you which packages NOT to ignore.

I don't want to pressure them but I really want to be home when they get shipped back and not out of town. I had a CAC submission that shows shipped today but when I got home there was the orange PO tag on my door, which means it shipped yesterday.
