Price explosions on the 1995 $2 star BEP Millennium Premium Sets on Ebay

I'm not sure what has been happening in the last 6 months but there has been an explosion of sales of these sets and the individual notes. Made me throw my last 2 sets up there and catalogue my 21 other individual notes that I will list soon. Sets going for $1600-2500+ plus tax and ship! Individual notes as high as $360 plus tax and ship!
Anyone have an insight as to why this is occurring suddenly?
