The 1918/7-D (FS-101) Buffalo Nickel is one of the most significant and rarest coins of the 20th century. This overdate error is highly sought after by collectors, earning a PCGS Price Guide value of $9,500 and a CAC Price Guide value of $11,500. Discovered in the 1930s, long after most examples were well-circulated, the 1918/7-D has become a cornerstone of American numismatics, known for its rarity and historical significance from the Denver Mint. This particular specimen showcases ample details for an XF45. With pleasing nickel-gray coloring, it bears all the hallmarks of a classic numismatic treasure, made even more desirable by its limited population of 26 in PCGS and just 7 in CAC.
