Can anyone help me maybe confirm my suspicions with this potential 42/41 D Mercury Dime. Thanks to all!

    There's also a 1942/41-D dime but the overdate is less obvious. The "1" in the photo above appears too far to the right and may be just a die chip.

    It doesn’t look like the overdate to me. Neither does the one you showed from eBay.
    Are you unable to edit your thread title to 1942-D?

    There are no "different variations" when the artifact is on the die. Every coin will look identical for a specific variety.

    Not. DOes not have the stump of the 1 under the lower left corner of the 2, nor the doubled base of the 4.
