I'm sorry about the poor camera quality
That is not the 42/41 dime. Check the blow-up photos of the 1942/41 dime on the PCGS Coin Facts web site to see what it should look like.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Yes I have seen those and also different variations like this one here..
There's also a 1942/41-D dime but the overdate is less obvious. The "1" in the photo above appears too far to the right and may be just a die chip.

Yes mine is a D also sorry didn't post the reverse...are die cracks considered errors?

It doesn’t look like the overdate to me. Neither does the one you showed from eBay.
Are you unable to edit your thread title to 1942-D?

Ok Thanks for responding
Neither your coin or the ebay coin you linked is an example of a true 42/41 D Merc. Just because an ebay seller makes a claim that doesn't make that claim true or accurate, there are many clueless and scam sellers on ebay. If you check the PCGS coinfacts resource, there is an excellent closeup of what the overdate looks like. Here is a screenshot of that closeup that PCGS provides.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
There are no "different variations" when the artifact is on the die. Every coin will look identical for a specific variety.
Technically, "varieties".
don't get coin education from ebay
Not. DOes not have the stump of the 1 under the lower left corner of the 2, nor the doubled base of the 4.
