These bars contain no silver but weight close.
Twice in past 6 months from different sources fake Perth Mint carded 1 oz gold bars were encountered. Weight again correct but the fake gold thicker than real ones.

Why buy a1 oz gold bar without a serial number?
everything is counterfeited now
Lots of counterfeits out there, not just the bullion either... scammers are everywhere and some bargain hunters forget to check the actual coins to stock photos... If ever in doubt feel free to compare your Perth Mint purchases to the photos we advertise.
there are a lot of counterfeits out there. did you know there are counterfeit pcgs, ngc and other holders out there? they are on ebay and other sites. fb marketplace is very bad.so far, i've only seen bad counterfeits in bad holders. pcgs did successfully go after a usa dealer altering coins and holders https://www.pcgs.com/news/pcgs-helps-police-nab-counterfeits-suspect

[ if you get a "we looked everywhere" page on ebay then the listing was removed by ebay (or the listing is old) ]
Go to the AliExpress and the dhGate web sites. These are legitimate and very large Chinese web sites that are very similar to eBay but like eBay, there are some vendors and merchants who sell counterfeit coins and knock-off merchandise. Do a search to get an idea what fake silver and gold coins, bars, and rounds, and what US and foreign coins are currently being counterfeited and are currently being sent to US buyers. Of course, these web sites also sell legitimate merchandise. What's interesting is when you register to buy on these web sites, you have to give them a credit card number and when you buy from one of their sellers, the web site charges your credit card and then holds the payment in escrow. Once you receive the merchandise and examine it, you let the web site know that you are satisfied with your purchase. Only then will they release payment to the seller.

get someone with the right accent and you can talk to those legitimate sellers and get some illegitimate stuff
I see fake gold bars in those assay cards all the time.
For my own personal collection, I will only buy vintage bars, I have not encountered any of those in fake packaging. Yet.
