Detectives are investigating a theft from a dealer set up at the recent Vienna, VA coin show on April 26 & 27 2025. The dealer was the victim of a distraction theft that resulted in the loss of 9 1oz gold Krugerrands. The suspects were identified as a male and female in their early to late 40’s. The suspects entered the show in the late afternoon and approached the dealer requesting to see gold coins. Both suspects spoke broken English.
The male suspect pulled out a roll of cash and wanted the coins placed in several different bags. The suspect was short of cash and said they would come back but never returned. During the transaction the female suspect continuously asked questions distracting the dealer. Video shows the male suspect placing the coins in his back pocket. The suspects were seen getting into a white Ford Explorer driven by a third suspect.

It looks like three separate cases. How about some breaks or rows of ***** to separate them?
BTW, that distraction theft is unfortunate but a textbook example. People need to be more aware.
Apparently this coin has no desirability if it’s been cracked out
More apparently, the person whose coin was stolen understands that the coin might not be in the same condition if cracked out. And that if so, it would be foolish to post a high value reward, sight-unseen.

I’ve fallen victim to the same ruse. A tactic used by the Roma gang. They’re extremely good at doing bad.
