1921 PCGSMS64 vam 3 Peace dollar R-7 rating

I had posted my 1921 PCGSMS64 VAM 3, on my other post and thought more of you would see it on this new post.
I just tried to open Vamworld.com and log in and nothing looks familiar.
It has been awhile since I logged in, but now everything has seemed to change.
I had posted many of my Morgan's and Peace dollars for help attributing them, in the past.
I had found a couple of Morgan silver dollars and I was going to post some pictures and ask for help attributing them.
Here are pictures of one of my lucky finds many years ago.
1921 PGCSMS64 Peace dollar and a vam 3, I think.
Ray over the L.
It used to be rated an R-7 rarity factor.
Enjoy, Bert!

Beautiful coin, and that is THE key date and variety.
One of the details that collectors of Peace Dollars look for is the hair right in front of the ear. and close to the crown.
There are many different dies, but the original high relief design was so high that that became the major wear spot.
Here's the unfair comparison to the 2021 version (MS70)
Nice! Probably the most visually interesting 1921 Peace variety. It's not R-7, but it takes a while to find one that's not impaired.

Back when I collected those I turned over dozens in unmarked PCGS holders including lots in 63,64 & 65 holders. Most have very, very flat Obv centers (but not 100% of them) so anytime I saw one that was extra weak I would flip it over and found many. I got a few nicer ones attributed but never made much off them. 21s have blowup in the past years and Im no longer tracking if there is a big premium at near gem.
Not an R7 or maybe even an R3. Graded and out there are two different things. But a cool coin that always caught my attention and imagination

My computer went crazy and kept recycling and I just got it back and working again.
When I found this 1921 Peace dollar, maybe 25 or 30 years ago, and I had posted it on Vamworld, I could swear it was rated an R-7 on Vamworld, at that time and that was what I had marked it.
Did the rating go down over the years?
Are there any websites now, that list the dates and mintmarks of the different vams, like pictures and descriptions and the R ratings, like on the old Vamworld?
Thank you, Bert
The R ratings are just guesses put down at the time by the people who write them, Different sources use different levels of guesstimation. That said as a coins popularity rises the number of eyes looking for them does too and the coolest Vam on the coolest years have had people looking for years now and many have been found.

R-ratings for VAMs have been deprecated. They can't simply be updated, because then you wouldn't know if you're looking at an updated number or the original guess. What will eventually be phased in to take their place is relative rarities within a specific date. These are probably fully known for a handful of dates (i.e., all varieties can be categorized). For other dates, it's sparsely known (some varieties can be categorized). Before anyone asks, replacing the R-ratings with URS numbers going forward is a non-starter, as URS is not a meaningful scale.

Okay thank you Crypto and messydesk,
I remember you messydeck, on Vamworld a LONG time ago and you helping me attribute some of my silver dollars.
I guess my 1904 O PCGSMS64 vam 37A 'dot on wing' vam, that was once rated an R-7 is no longer rated an R-7?
It has the 'Trueview' shield on the holder, it has been so long sense I looked up the photos, are those great closeup photos still available, with that gold shied on the PCGS slab?
What website do I go to to type in the slab number, to look at the closeup photos?
Sorry for all of the questions, At 81 now and after having two brain surgeries, at the Wade Park VA hospital, in Cleveland, Oh, back in 1969 and then again in 1982 and the last operation having big problems, the VA put me on VA disability, as a result.
Thank you again, Bert
Okay, I found the Trueview webite and the PCGS Trueview, photo of my 1904 O PCGSMS63 VAM 37A.

On it you can see the tiny oval metal or dot on the wing.
Oops, I see you found it.
