A New Classic Half Dollar Added to my Small, but ever expanding Commemorative Collection

Just added this latest classic commemorative 1937 Roanoke half dollar to my collection. This is another area of numismatics that has recently peaked my interest. So many new directions to follow. I don’t think I will ever stop collecting these little gems.

I like the gold toning as well. A neat coin for sure

I love some of the old commems. My favorite is the Vermort. Second for me is the Oregon. Oregon might have been my favorite had it been a one year issue.

Thanks, but this coin has absolutely zero gold toning and is brilliant and bright white. Everyone’s eye is different.
the tv is white. was the in hand taken under non-led lighting?

Nice! I had fun putting together my classic commem type set. I keep thinking of adding more, but suffer from the ages-old collector malady, "too many coins not enough money."

My favorite part of the commemorative half dollar series is that a considerable amount of the uncirculated coins have deep original toning from the holders they were sold in. My favorite design is probably Maine, but it's a tough choice.

Like you, I’m part of the large minority that prefers having these artistic silver coins super lustrous and blast white. So while it’s highly likely that at some point this coin has been dipped, it was done gently enough that it merits a CAC sticker!
Beautiful pickup! You’ll enjoy reading the backstory on many of these historical gems!
Enjoy!

Thanks Steve @winesteven. I know that after nearly 90 years of existence, these classic coins should and would probably all be toned.. As you stated, I like you, do prefer these blast white. In that condition, I can truly appreciate the design elements in many of these pieces. Zack
@asheland, thanks Terry.
