1922-D Peace Dollar: Will this spot prevent CAC?

I just received my newps: 1922-D PCGS MS66. Got it at a great price, there's one issue that I see which is the spot on the eagle's left wing. It is not a carbon spot. I have had JA reject coins because of carbon spots, but what about a spot like this? I don't know whether to try to have the coin restored first or just send to CAC and see. Looking for opinions...
Also, if you think the coin is not a "solid" 66 for other reasons would like to know if and why you think that.

I personally don't think the spot would soley disqualify the coin from CAC'ing. Looks like a nice 66. Any chance of in-hand pics?
will cac get cose enough to see it is dark brown versus jet black
I think the luster would send it over the edge. My two cents.
and a great strike
That spot alone shouldn't disqualify a 66 from CACing. Cool die cracks. I believe it has a good shot at a green bean.
I think it will CAC. Super nice coin. Poor me will have to be content with the very nice MS65 I purchased from you!)

Very nice coin. Surprised a worn, cracked die produced such a great strike and luster.
No it won’t.
I think the spot and the die crack will preclude stickering.
I like the die crack as an interest point personally.
"Got a flaming heart, can't get my fill"
looks nice for grade, but I can speak from experience CAC is brutal on peace dollars in the MS range. It takes a pop for a superb gem to sticker.

Only CAC knows as it will be their "opinion" that counts, not comments from outsiders.
I wouldn't worry about it. Too many second guess CAC. I recently bought a PCGS AU58 example of this date. Thanks for this thread. I got the piece out and might get it reholdered and see if I can get a green bean on it. All the '22 Peace dollars are cool.
“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong.”
“Then you trust more to your imagination than to your knowledge?”
“I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”
Albert Einstein- quoted in Saturday Evening Post interview (1929)
I'm pretty sure die cracks don't count against a coin.
Thanks, Captain obvious. My intent wasn't to print out the forum replies and submit it along with the coin to try to persuade him with the forum's opinions.

I don’t know

I think the spot will be seen as a corrosion spot that has etched the surface and keep it from passing.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
It looks more like a small planchet inclusion than a spot, which would make it far less of an issue in my eyes.

No clue, but I like it provided that spot isn’t embedded. Honestly, I would normally have overlooked it but since there’s so much fuss…..
CAC is fussy...

CAC doesn't like spots so no it won't sticker.
I specialize in Peace dollars and have always had tremendous difficulty predicting what CAC will do with them.
I’m guessing the majority of 22-D coins at MS66 in retail channels would have already been seen by them. The price/value proposition makes it worth a try, or even a few tries.
I like the coin. There are a few abrasions on the neck, the eagle’s rock, and the feathers. If they’re only frost breaks, no biggie. If they catch light (sparkle or glint) when rotated, it can be a bigger problem.
If it doesn’t sticker, the spot will likely not be the reason.
Is it your contention that all spots are treated equally or is a spot of dirt OK compared to a carbon spot?

It’s a moot issue for me. As it’s a thumbs down for me due to the spot yes you can probably try for the CAC price if it’s stickered but who’s going to buy it? Have u tried shop one around the bourse? Frankly I seriously doubt CAC would sticker it.
Sticker or no sticker that prominent spot makes it a no go for me. I think it would be tough to sell and even then an offer wb considerably discounted.
Bourse room talk indicates Buyers at shows becoming more fussy on what they buy these days.
It is my contention that any Coin I’ve ever sent to CAC with any kind of a spot failed to sticker
