Alright, so I just received this set of Washington Quarters which are well toned and seem original to the Wayte Raymond Page. I noticed a date written on it 3/26/48. Did these exist back in the 40s? Would this seem to be accurate and original to that era?

Yes, these existed in the 1940s

But quarters dated 1950 didn’t exist in the 40s, obviously

Yes.... If you see all the dates on these pages were hand written.

I believe they stopped putting in the staples like this one has later on, so the staple showing like that suggests it to be an earlier one. But you can still buy unused vintage pages and pop in coins. The toning looks consistent from coin to coin, so I’m guessing these were all put in at the same time and then sat somewhere for more than 10 years to get that much toning.

By the way, I was watching that one on eBay. The coins and album page are nice. I think you did good.

I got a previous one he had listed and when I received them they were great BU quarters so saw this one and snagged it. May try to put some gem ones in there to try and tone them, might be some sulfur content still in em.
