Thankyou awesome appreciate the knowledge fairly new just dementia is giving me hell on retaining the info

Nothing special about those coins, but if you're looking for a project with Lincoln cents, you can use them to start filling a Whitman folder.

Just enjoy your coins; no need to worry about finding doubled dies, other varieties or errors.

I couldn't agree more with IkesT. Collecting or any other hobby is for relaxation and enjoyment, if you're not enjoying it, do it differently. The normal progression in collecting has always been starting out filling albums with date and mintmark of a certain series, often cents. As a collector grows and learns in the hobby they tend to migrate to an area of interest and there are many, classic US coins, Morgan dollars by VAM, ancient coins, medieval hammered, American colonials, errors, there are so many different niches it would be impossible to name half of them. I don't understand the trend today of someone completely new to the hobby jumping right into errors or varieties. These are more advanced segments that require a lot of knowledge on the minting process and technical aspects of how the coins are struck. It is a sure recipe for frustration and failure. Slow down and enjoy, if it gets frustrating, take a break for a while.

I collect Lincolns. My dream is to find a 1969-s or 1958 DDO in BU in a Whitman folder at a coin show.

My advice is to ditch the camera! I cannot tell anything from your images, but Ikie gave you good advice.
If you are looking for minor DDO's you can buy a cheap stereomicroscope for under $150. Go on the Internet and make sure you actually know what a true DD looks like. I started looking for DD Lincolns a long time ago. The first week after I bought the scope, I found a circulated 1917, and two 1936's so I know what I am posting because I've done it. Now I have a great collection of Lincoln cents and have moved on, but I still look at my pocket change with the scope. LOL.

PS the 1972 Lincoln's are a good place to start. Many minor DD plus Master Die doubling. You'll learn what that is.

Ya I’ve found a few I will keep you posted forsure I’m goin thru my families collection n getting grandma her money since she was the last one to collect besides me now since after I do this deed im stuck n will do something in the field I want to build a app for the ederly and their collection thats trustworthy and full of guidance emerita and brain atrophy runs in our family i have it aswell and could not imagine forgetting everything you have learned about your hard work in all your collections and then some coin shark give u lil to nothing for them and this app will protect them from that happening in every aspect of collecting such as coins and currency sports memrobillia figurines dolls basically everything under the sun that people collect because man o man this sport is rough to say the least. And this world is cruel and doesn’t care as long as they get the bigger piece. But we will see I’ve started a eBay store aswell I’ve made her 7000 in a few months and thus far I’ve not even scratched on the coin collection I’m taking classes thru ANA but like I mentioned it’s hard tom retain the info my dementia makes it very hard she is in her mid 70s I will turn 45 in a wk or so and I’m just putting forth the effort since the rest of the family was waiting in the background for her to pass and then they will sale it for who knows well I know but it’s just sad. She just kicked cancer twice so she needs to live the rest of her journey enjoying the fruits of collecting aka as going to Vegas and every other casino she finds and that’s it that’s aunt bee she’s pretty cool I must say I’ve been here now for over 3 months i just didn’t know what I was getting into lol, I gave her my word I would at least pay off her credit cards and get her to Vegas so until then I’m learning and putting forth the effort. Sorry if I wrote to much but ya nice to meet you they call me Sprnklz
