TrueView pictures and downloading them onto a flash drive

coinkatcoinkat Posts: 23,816 ✭✭✭✭✭

Can this be done? Has anyone done this and if so, how difficult is the process?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't see where the difficulty lies. What type of technology do you have or intend to use?

It's really quite simple and can be done multiple ways. The first is to put the cert number into the PCGS cert verification page-

    https://www.pcgs.com/cert/

Then, after you click the "Verify" button or hit the "Enter" key you can click on the image that shows up and it will open as a much larger image. This larger image can be saved by right-clicking your mouse so that a dropdown menu appears or you can click on the "download" icon in the upper right corner, which opens up a larger image of the coin that can be saved.

Alternatively, you can go to the PCGS TrueView page and download the images directly. That page is linked below with an example of what it looks like with one of my coins-

    https://www.pcgs.com/trueview/20900474

To get the images of your coin just change the cert number at the end of the URL above.

Thanks for the comments thus far… Has anyone used a flash drive to store trueView images?

I was a little confused by the question, so took a flash drive and loaded some downloaded full-res trueviews onto it. Works just fine. What's your concern specifically with this? You have to make sure your flash drive is formatted appropriately for your system to be able to add any files onto it. But if it is - there should not be a distinction whether it's a trueview or a video.

Sure, why not? It's just another electronic device.

Thanks for the responses… and those that did respond will be pleased to know that I managed to buy one of those flash drive gadgets and have successfully started the project. It’s okay to laugh…

It's a valid concert. I've had coins that had several versions of TrueView pictures and now many only have 1. There were single side image and composite of both sides with and without the PCGS logo's.

Try putting your certificate number into this link: https://www.pcgs.com/trueview/31366194

So instead of 31366194 use your coin cert number.
