Looking for Info/Value on Lockheed Corporation 50th Anniversary Medallion – SR-71 Design

Recently acquired this medallion and I was looking for more info and also the value of it, but could not find anything. There is text on the front bearing “Look Ahead Where The Horizons Are Absolutely Unlimited” and also a signature of Robert E. Gross. On the back there is text bearing “Lockheed Management Club Salutes Lockheed Corporation On Its Fiftieth Anniversary” with the 50th anniversary symbol and years 1932 and 1982. If anyone could get more information on the medallion that would be appreciated and also a value of it.

Not sure of a value, other than a coolness factor of 11!

Welcome, so it's a Franklin Mint item, probably coated white metal. Try some keyword searches with the Google. Good luck. Peace Roy

I don't see that as a Franklin Mint item. The value is approximately zero either way. No collector interest in this sort of thing, sorry

The FMC logo below Lockheed appears so.

This is the Franklin Mint mintmark:

That Lockheed medal is decent but not up to the Franklin Mint's standards.

  • Thanks for your feedback.

Nice pickup -- Would like to have seen the C-130 Hercules instead since that is, by far, their most successful plane.
