Compared to what was expected of him, that's a good candidate for worst ever. But while I don't mean to start another GOAT 3B debate, Schmidt's 1983 WS has to be worse (.050, .050, .050, with 6 Ks, no runs and no RBI). The second-best hitter on that Phillies team was a 39-year-old Joe Morgan. Which is to say, without Schmidt they were a plain vanilla bad team (with good pitching).
one I can remember was Manny when he was with the Indians vs. the Red Sox in the 99 ALDS. He was a monster in the regular season. I looked up his stats for that season and he was 1-18 with 8 k's.
pretty bad showing for a great hitter.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
How about the 1995 Playoff series between the Red Sox and Indians?
Mo Vaughn and Jose Canseco. a combined 0-27
yup, that was a stinker too. I had high hopes for that duo back then. Jose couldnt stay healthy though.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I was so infuriated watching that series, it was disgusting to watch
