I wrote an article for the "Commemorative Trail" many years ago about commemorative coins and stamps that were related to them. I have posted the document for those that want to read it.

Many Thanks, this helps a lot. Although I’m not a commemorative coin collector per se, this project has led me to buy a few that I have always admired, after finding that a stamp was also involved. As an example, I’ve always liked the Connecticut because of the rendition of the Charter Oak. I discovered the matching stamp also showing the Charter Oak, in the same “pose”. Both are in the mail to me now. Also added Oregon and Pan Pac coins & stamps. Fun.
PS for the Pan Pac I’m using the dollar for “practical” reasons.

Well, it's not a coin but a medal with some stamps.
