A few of my 8 Reales are up for bidding tonight at Stacks.
1809-Mo TH/HJ in PCGS MS61 - this was my discovery coin for this previously undocumented over-assayer variety. This variety is contrary to the widely believed order of assayers, as assayers HJ followed rather than preceded assayers TH. Awesome coin. Here's my variety discovery post from 2021
1810-Mo HJ/TH in NGC MS61 - lovely coin with a clear over-assayer initials. Top pop for this variety at NGC.
1816-Mo JJ PCGS MS61. Used to reside in a PCGS63 plastic. I rolled the dice with it as the originally the coin was nearing terminal toning and i cracked it and lightened it up slightly. It looks a lot better now, but the heavy toning was also hiding some hairlines that became more apparent after the treatment. To call this coin a 61 is a bit extreme, but it's definitely not a 63 anymore. In any case, my loss can be your gain. CLICK FOR VIDEO -- Does this video look low resolution to anyone else?
