If anyone with more knowledge than myself would please let me know if the coin I have is in fact printed on the wrong planchet. Thank you

The penny/cent looks stripped of it's copper and both are dirty. Value - .06 cents. Just my opinion 🤷

    Welcome to the forum

It is not struck on the wrong planchet a nickel planchet would not fit in a cent collar.
It is what is called a “Texas Cent. “ It has been pounded between two pieces of leather
which removes the copper plating and expands the zinc core. See these fairly often.
There is no value to it except as a novelty coin.
