Let's cast "PCGS: The Movie"

ShurkeShurke Posts: 650 ✭✭✭✭✭

In another thread, @CascadeChris posted a photo of the founders of PCGS. Based that image, I thought it might be fun to do a thread where we cast a movie about the early days of our host.

So, my fellow Hollywood execs, we have cracking script with Martin Scorsese attached to direct. It's working title is "Heads I Win," or if that doesn't test well with our focus groups, maybe something more prosaic, like "The Graders." Whatever, all of that's immaterial. We're a shoe-in come Oscar season. All we need is the perfect ensemble cast. My suggestions are as follows:

(Keep in mind, I'm a producer who's completely divorced from reality--if I want to cast Clark Gable, by god, no one's gonna tell me I can't cast Clark Gable).

1) Jeff Goldblum as Steve Cyrkin.

2) Tom Selleck as John Dannreuther. It's not the creative choice when it comes to our go-to mustachioed actors, but it works, so let's go with it.

3) Jonathan Frakes as David Hall. I tell you, this Frakes guy has starred more memes than I can count. He's a pop culture phenomenon!

4) Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Gordon Wrubel. I know, you might not see it right away. But let's face it: we need a big name, a real big box office draw.

5) Joe Lo Truglio as John Albanese.

6) Joseph R Gannascoli as Bruce Amspacher

7) And finally, Stephen Baldwin as Silvano DiGenova.

And that's my pitch. Who've you got for what's surely going to be the biggest picture of the year?

Since this is a movie the addition of a well-known character might help:

Every movie needs a solid musical soundtrack.

Note the Charlie Harper bowling shirt on the lead singer and guitarist.

Just got out of the 5:00 Production meeting. Currently, the focus groups favor "Empty Pockets" over "The Graders," "Heads I Win," "Slabs, The Movie," or "Before Forward Looking Statements". Just wanted to keep you updated ...

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

Excellent work scouting these sets and locations! I think the juxtaposition of these two pics says everything. We have a sweeping epic on our hands.

I would like to play the role of disappointed submitter in this movie, I've got plenty of relevant experience.

@Shurke - if you’re not already casting for Hollywood you should be!

Lets get John Goodman to be the disgruntled coin collector, ask him to play it like "The Big Lebowski" (1998)
