This was a fun coin, I bought this today. Got a pretty decent deal $61, I just really liked the eye appeal… I usually try to pick these up in 65 or higher, ideally 67 grade but this one just spoke to me…

For you guys that do the VAMs, am I correct? 1880-S there are three mint mark sizes…?
This is medium, mint mark?

Here is the large S. below. I like it's presentation on the coin, nice and crisp, and quite legible.
The coin below also happens to be one of my favorites in the collection, and it's my ID Avatar I'm currently using here...

I just had the same thing happen to me. I don't collect silver dollars; but, am putting together a 1903 date set. It's only a MS64 and I can't believe how nice it is. I'm all in for $166.
