It is truly amazing that so many noted and important hobbyists out there have been reading (and often posting) to this Forum. To see names like Ron Hobbs, Davalillo, Marshall Fogel and others reading and posting to these Forums is really a credit to the success of this hobby. And there are so many other major players out there who regularly read these Forums without ever posting.
So many of us have learned and been educated by some of the pioneers of this Hobby -- presently of whom include people like Charlie and Marshall. And there are others who have continued in this vein -- buying and collecting hoardes of sets. More incredible than hearing about the values or the PSA 10s that someone has in their collection, it is much more interesting to hear about their collecting these sets as a child -- the cards that presented the most difficulties, and the various analyses of printing runs.
Today we are left with these Hobby Stalwarts -- collectors whose general knowledge about nearly all the sets and cards vastly exceeds the knowledge that can be gained from reading a book or collecting a set. The past two or three years have brought forth niche experts -- experts who have specific knowledge about one or two sets -- who know the nuances of centering and print problems of various sets. And there is much greater expertise on the 1960s and 1970s issues than people ever cared about three years ago.
What a great Forum, and a great hobby. All the best to everyone who posts and reads here. Happy Collecting.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
