How do I know if this 1915 2 1/2 gold indian is real ?

Can anyone know if this 1915 2 1/2 gold indian is real ? Being offered to me for $375 and not 100% sure about its authenticity

    Is this the same coin you have listed in the BST for $425? Honestly, if you're not sure you probably shouldn't be listing it.

    Not going to ship unless someone confirms its real. I am about 99% sure but

    I shared your image with a man who collects only $2 1/2 and $5 Indians and he said that the wear pattern on the coin's reverse looks genuine.

    Looks like an authentic circulated Indian quarter eagle but it looks like it has been cleaned.

    It looks good to me as well.

    Collector and dealer in obsolete currency. Always buying all obsolete bank notes and scrip.

    Can you get a weight to 0.01 grams?

    If you have a scale, Numista says it should weigh 4.18 grams. And with a caliper, a diameter of 18mm. Not foolproof, but it helps.

    Are you near a local coin shop that has a Sigma device?

    Considering it’s raw - You don’t. Are u risk averse?

    Suggest you pass - get a graded piece. Many been ripped on raw gold.
