A quarter completely unclad

in Q & A Forum
I found a 2022 Mankiller quarter that is dark and I took it to coin shops and was told it was common and no big deal. I have never seen a completely unclad coin in all my 61 years, so I question what I was told.

It is probably toning from environmental damage which holds no premium
that the dealer saw. Just because it was dark does not mean it had no cladding.
Also an unclad quarter would be copper coloured and show a weaker strike.
Supply a clear photo of both sides and we should be able to give you a definite answer
If it was missing clad layers it would be copper colored like a cent.
The edge should show the layers.
As I thought, just environmental toning that adds no value.
In the future, please crop your photos. All that background is unnecessary.
It's just some kind of environmental toning as stated. Could have been a dug coin or in the bottom of a cars cupholder.
