1942/1 Mercury Dime PCGS-MS66 Up For Viewing

wondercoinwondercoin Posts: 16,972 ✭✭✭✭✭
I posted scans of the 1942/1 Mercury in PCGS-MS66 I recently acquired in my museum of coins on my site (www.wondercoin.com). This piece could be one of the highest quality 42/1 coins in existence, although no doubt the NGC-MS68 specimen out there is probably a bit nicer. But, this coin really has great appeal. No sales pitch here, as the coin has already been placed - just sharing pictures image Wondercoin.

Mike: I think this coin is real nice, especially the 99.5% FB (which does not come out in the scan)! Can someone put it on this thread please? image Wondercoin.

Is that coin blue or is it the photo that makes it look blue?

    I think it's the toning.

It is indeed a nice 1942/1 dime. The MS-68 dime blows it away but that other coin is unbelievable.
The toning on the reverse is a positive and the obverse, a neutral.
