Set Registry Issues

I will no longer purchase any coins that are registered to someone else. This problem with not getting coins added to your register because either the prior owner is deceased, doesn't monitor their email, gotten out of the coin business or refuses to remove them from their own registry bothers me greatly. It gives me the indication that I don't own the coin. I believe that the mobile version of the PCGS Cert Verification shows if someone currently has it registered or not. So, I check this before purchase. This whole issue seems to be a self-distruction of a company that used to be at the top of it's game but sadly no longer..... sorry to see them go.

https://www.pcgs.com/cert will get you there from a standard web browser as well. It's worth also looking for the "Security" line, if it shows "Protected by NFC anti-counterfeiting technology" you can generally add it immediately via the Set Registry mobile app (I've heard one or two random reports of it not working, but 99% of the time, it's been rock-solid.)
