On a facebook group called "things found in attics", someone posted a bag of 250 1964 Kennedy Halfs

They found them in a hidden space in their attic. (It was a new home for them.) I pointed them here...I hope they show up!!!! They have no idea about coins and I think quite a few are MS. I told them "This is where to go to get the best advice and information from the top dealers and collectors around." Hopefully they make a post! It was a REALLY neat find! I already warned them not to clean or mess with them. I mean, most are probably melt value but I know high end ms examples can fetch good money.

Unc or AU, you're still talking bullion for 64s. They are virtually all UNC
Welcome—
Now, we’re between “fetching good” and “talking bullion”.
OP—Use the sold filter in a search on eBay for raw 64s to get a notion on your own.
Kind of you to help.
Well, you need a 67 or 68 to be worth bothering with
Any toned ones?
That’s a fact I learned the hard way.
OP—67-68 means the grade of MS 67 or MS 68 for the coin, not the year.
Isn't there a DDO for the 1964?
In any case, valuable coins are valuable because they are uncommon or rare, which means thr liklihood of finding one is very small.
Unless....they are a lost hoard of 1964 SMS coins.

Great find, regardless of “value”.

Could have been Eva Adams' attic...
True, and available in bulk quantities.
I recall ~30 years ago a part time dealer friend had a customer who wanted him to amass a $thousand dollar Unc FV bag of them. He did this by buying original rolls wherever he could find them. Took him awhile but he accomplished it.
