Just received my grades from PCGS on a Gold Shield 'Regular' submission...14 day turnaround.

GoldbullyGoldbully Posts: 17,562 ✭✭✭✭✭

My submission was entered into the system on February 4th and grades ready on the 24th.

Not sure if PCGS was open on Presidents Day.

If they were closed make that 13 days.

The turnaround chart is still showing a 40 day lead time for a Regular submission.

I must give our hosts kudos for this super speedy submission.

Heck, Express is 15 days and they beat that!

Anyone else have such positive results lately?

I had a one coin regular submission arrive on Jan. 9th and ship on the 16th. The other two submissions were received on the same day and shipped on Feb. 4th. So fast times right now.

Nice. I just had a 1/29 econ post grades today, and they're working on an express and regular submission now.

MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

It was the tasty lollipops you put in with the submission ;)

How are the true views? The latest ones I have seen look too dark.

I just got this one back last week. The coins is white and lustrous in hand.

Similar. Voucher submission received on February 4th. Grades and images ready yesterday the 24th. Tru-views, to me, captured the coin’s colors very well. 78-cc 45 degree rotated reverse.

Crossover voucher submission also received on the 4th updated yesterday to “Quality Check” and “Being Imaged”. No grade yet. Anacs OH. Crossed, or auto software update? Either way, pretty quick IMO on both submissions.

    @jakeblue

Funny, my two CBH's that were just graded seem to have several of the same colors as your 78-CC Morgan $1.

edited to add: Will be interesting to see my coins back in hand and compare them to these TrueViews. I'm trying to stay optimistic.

    Goldbully,

To my memory, the blues for mine are accurate although I do think the field color of gold/tan seems enhanced. Will compare when returned.

The Anacs OH grades came back today. Straight cross 79-cc Capped Die. Got lucky. Will post those pics when added by PCGS to see how they compare to these posted. It has some colors as well.

100% agree they are moving super fast on subs right now.

It seems they have some quick turn-arounds as well as the long, painfully long ones as others have spoken about. I recently sent in two separate submissions on two consecutive days. One was done two weeks ago the other is waiting the final phases. The statistics page is probably on target showing long waits.

The crossed 79-cc images posted today. Again, blues are accurate and fields seem enhanced.

Doesn't look enhanced, just the white balance is off which seems to still be a recurring theme with TVs.

@lermish: How long was the turnaround time? Were you happy with the TVs? Were you happy with the grade (which seems a bit conservative to me)?

That was just a reholder for my variety set because I sold my other 75-S 1/1. It was 29 business days (44 calendar) which I thought was extremely long for a simple variety reholder. And in fact the varieties were updated on the certificates after just a couple of days and the rest of the time the order was sitting around waiting to be put in holders.

I have seen worse TVs so I guess beggars can't be choosers... But I think it's an absolutely awful picture. The coin looks exactly like the Heritage pictures in hand.

I wouldn't complain about a 63 but 62 is close enough that I didn't bother with regrade. It is a CAC coin also although the sticker isn't in the pic above.

I will have to try that. Or maybe some New England maple syrup, as long as they don’t spill it on my coins :D
