I gotta just not respond to the penny/musk/CA fires threads. They go south really fast not worth engaging
The substantial truth doctrine is an important defense in defamation law that allows individuals to avoid liability if the gist of their statement was true.
I was a guest of the PCGS Hilton some years ago. I was treated well. Allowed me free time to tend to other business. My offense was using only one word in my post, our previous Presidents name. In no way was it an illicit attempt to stir a pot. But it was construed as something it wasn't. So be careful out there. Don't need to lose any members, especially ones who further enhance this forum with their helpful informative opinions and information.

So, you can be in jail and still post?
Is it that you just can't create a thread? Or is it a warning that you may be a goner soon if you don't change?
Basically everything you just said. You can still post, but not start a discussion. Mainly I think it is a warning that if you repeat the behavior that got you thrown in jail you will receive the ban hammer.
Some of you imprisoned folks look pretty pathetic behind bars at least I can still make out derryb's avatar; the rest, not so much. I don't post here enough to earn such a punishment, but I hope they don't put the Shiba Inu in the kennel
Karma ran over their dogma.
It's only a coins and bullion forum.
1. Keep poison politics out of this fine hobby.
2. Treat others as you want to be treated.
3. Never post when you're mad, just let it go.
4. Try to be a positive influence. This country could use it right now.
Shame on all of you criminals for veering into the abyss! Sheesh, is it that hard to stay on topic?
Anyways, it appears that some were uninformed about that hoard of gold bars that could potentially be recovered. $20 Billion is a substantial amount of gold, but oddly enough it must have not made the news if some weren't yet aware...
Whether you're a silver stacker, or a gold guy, the sheer magnitude of a hoard this size should be of interest to us all. The lack of oversight is astounding. No matter what any of us decide to invest in, I think it's hard to argue that such investments must always be accounted for distributed responsibly. Storage methods, inventory verification, and confirmation of an invoice before transfer of funds is paramount. Not to mention using the proper shipping methods, over a certain threshold they should be taking extra precautions. This is akin to shipping an 1804 dollar in a 3x5 bubble mailer to an eBay buyer...with a brand new account with 0 feedback.

Not when politics and economics and the US FED are so closely related to gold price movement.
Yup. The price of gold is highly correlated to geo-politics. To dissuade discussion is a disservice to collectors, investors, and enthusiasts.
Oh really? A 'disservice' ?? You are now taking a a subtle (or not so subtle) poke at our forum host, while you are in jail?
That's the same type of posts that likely helped land you in jail in the first place, though ususally you direct those posts at other forum members. Sure... throw some more chum in the water.
From what I can see, PCGS does not dissuade discussion about gold or precious metals, as long as one follows the clearly stated forum rules, If one wants to discuss politics freely, I'm sure there are likely other forums that allow that.

Yup, sometimes those who attempt to free folk of their echo chamber prisons land in jail also...tis the burden of the altruist.
Did you just disparage everyone on the forum that isn't you?

You do know that Zeldin's remark about gold bars was a euphamism, right? He's referring to a joke he made earlier, not actual physical gold.
