Shipping coins to Canada

Anyone have experience shipping to Canada (Quebec) from the US? Any advice on best way to do this is appreciated, coin is valued approx $1k USD, thanks in advance, Al

    I have private insurance so that's a secondary concern for me, but I'd ship it via Express Mail. Canada Post is a good and reliable system. First Class isn't an option above $400 in declared value, and without significant savings, I like Express over regular Priority. A flat rate envelope is fine, and I declare coins as "numismatic item" or "numismatic collectible."
