Greysheet pricing on coin series without keys

Something I've found puzzling is looking through Greysheet, it will give various series such as Lincoln cents without the key dates and the price even in low grade is quite high. For example the 69 Lincoln cents without keys worth over a thousand. 64 Buffalo nickels without varieties at over $700. Mercury dimes at good, 77 coin set--around $1300, etc. What am I missing?

What you might be missing is the possibility that even without the keys included, the sets are worth more than you realized. I think that’s more likely than the alternative that the “Greysheet” is way off base.

Then what is that pricing based on? I've sold "Library of Coins" albums and they are never worth near these figures.

Low grade, non-key Lincoln and Buffalo dates aren’t worth anywhere near what the pricing guides say. The coin shops near me can’t give them away. Even semi- key early date mintmarked coins languish on the shelves.
