Has anyone seen the 2024 dollar coin yet. I have received mine and let me tell you if this is truly an mint uncirculated coin. Then I have found a one of a kind. Looking at the flag there is an error on it. It looks like the flag was ripped. Then all the pieces are all over the coin. With the main part laying next to where the error is located.
I will send closer pics giving you a better look at it.
That’s a contact mark from another coin, or a “hit mark’
It occurred after the coin was in circulation, and is not a mint error of any kind, I’m sorry to say.

You all must know. I already know that it was from something hitting it. I am not new to this. It's just surprising to find it in a mint uncirculated set. That means that it was not cared for while being packaged.
Thank you all so much.
Be careful buying mint sets. You might end up with a set like this one

Welcome to the forum.
Nice coin. Unfortunately, it’s a not an error. Something else struck that area on the flag and damaged it.
Ok but it came out of a mint uncirculated set.

Coins for regular mint sets are not handled individually with kid gloves from striking to packaging. (Some commems might be handled differently).
They are struck in huge numbers and dumped into huge bins. There should be no expectation that they will be free of marks.
