Did the Sox pick up enough to make them a contender this year after promising big spending and not delivering?

I hope the Sox can make some noise this year but I just can't begin to think they have enough to. be challenging NY for the AL East

    What 2025 discussion?

What have the Red Sox done so far to improve their roster? Answer...not much. Picking up 5 pitchers prior to the New Year, and one lonely Sabol to a minor league catcher position, tells me Breslow etal are stuck in stupid...again. Most of the top RH batters are off the market. Now the lunacy continues chasing Bregman, who wants an outrageous contract (thanks to his mouthpiece, Boras) is a fool's errand...deja vu contracts that litter Yawkey Way. Toss in the noise Arenado is trying to make as the Cards are anxious to dump a liability...sounds like a Sandoval (aka El Sapo Gordo) time bomb.

While Breslow and Cora (the cheater), will tout their efforts to appease the Fenway Faithful, the Red Sox will yet again fall way short of being a contender in 2025. If they're lucky, maybe a mid spot in the final AL East standings. Only a miracle Wildcard slot will save them.

Of course I will kinda monitor the team's performance, but I will not get the baseball package to watch each game, other things to do to enjoy my life. For the diehard among us, you are in for a very, very long season with brief moments of hope that will fade quickly. Should I be wrong, please feel free to pile on

I applaud the consistency in referring to Alex Cora as "the cheater" for so long. Bravo.
