Question about the Assembly stage of PSA grading

How long are cards in the Assembly stage of grading at PSA these days? It's been a while since I submitted to PSA. Thanks for any input! I have a modern order that entered that stage recently.

My one remaining sub has been in Assembly for a month now.
I don't think the stages accurately reflect where the cards really are.
Just an arbitrary feel good indicator that your sub is progressing.

In a previous sub, it went from Grading-->Assembly-->Grades Ready-->QA Checks-->Completed and shipped with a tracking number all within a few hours. I find that hard to believe.

  • Most cards go through within a week. I guess it depends on the volume the sealers have.

  • I think thats true my last order is now in assembly for about 2 weeks. Has been faster before

  • I have one in Assembly 29 days a second 22 days and a third now 8 days

My grades popped today. 5 days in assembly. Modern value rec'd 12/17. shipped 2/11. Quicker than I expected.

  • Thats great news. I have been in assembly for about 3 weeks.

The one that was at 8 days popped at 11pm last night, the one on 22 days popped today. The one which of course is the most important one is now at 32 days

  • There is no consistency at all. Mine just popped today was about 23 days. Newer cards 2021 - 24 = PSA 10 - 2 / PSA 9 - 6 / PSA 8 - 6 / PSA 7 - 4. Just frustrating getting a 7 on newer cards I get the centering is off but at least a 8 Im not thinking it will be a 10 or 9. But maybe the tighter centering is happening now
