Low Country coin show report

Short version....****In short Coins were bought, coins were sold, YNs were plentiful, food at night was good, and beer was cold at dinner. ****
Long version......Well the winter Low Country Coin show is in the books. It's a show we always look forward to be apart of.
Friday the show opens to the public at noon. Before noon is set up time and some dealer to dealer stuff. Dealer trading seemed brisk and and was no different at my tables. We sold a ton of Morgan's and peace dollars before the show even opened. Once the show opened it got pretty busy fairly quickly. Everything was selling, from copper to dollars. I talked to a few of our fellow forum members here for a bit about everything under the sun coin wise. It was a good say sales wise and a decent day buying as well. I purchased a partial set of Indian head cents. Only missing 5 coins but the coins that were there were nice xf - AU coins. Out of the 150 dollars I brought, I only had 89 left after day one. Supper was a big ole New York Strip and a few much needed beers.
Saturday started a little slowly, mostly because the show used to open at 10 on Saturday and lately it's been opening at 9. By 10 1030 it was buzzing pretty good. Again everything seemed to be selling, but the high lights of the day were small cents, buffalo nickels, washington quarters, and dollars. We also sold alot of moderns to folks needing to update their albums and keep them up to date. For the last few years, we have been doing a Treasure hunt for the YNs at 19 shows a year. We started doing it at this show a few years ago and it has become very popular. This year there was 43 YNs that participated in the treasure hunt. All the YNS and their parents really enjoyed it. The questions change each show, so some of the YNs come each time to learn new stuff about coins. All 43 YNs left with their treasure boxes full of coins from the treasure hunt and left with a little bit more numismatic knowledge. Supper that night was amazing wings at a local place as well as a few beers and shooting some pool with other dealers. It was a really fun evening and a great day at the show.
Sunday was, well a Sunday at a 3 day show. It was slower but there was plenty of sales to make it worth it. Sundays highlights were the buying opertunities. I purchased 2 complete lincoln sets, 39 Morgan's including a pcgs f15 93cc, ngc vf25 94, and 2 other circ CC's. The day ended with enough business to be well worth staying until the end!
To sum it up it was a great show for us! Like i said it's one we look forward to twice a year! If you ever have a free weekend it's worth it to stop by.
A few dealers sold out of 2025 eagles at 36.00 each. Gold was all over the place. 90% was being bought between 18-19.5 times, depending what it was.
Sorry not the best show report, but here it is.

An encouraging report. Thanks!
Thanks for taking a moment to talk. I did not walk out with a thing but it's still nice to look in cases and hope there is something you need.

Thanks for the report, Rob. Glad it was successful business-wise, but also for the youngsters! Keep up the good work!
I was setup there for the very 1st time. Selling Canadian coins. Lots of visitors and sales were better than expected. Made some new friends. If schedule works, I'll setup again for the July show.
