Hello,
Coin guy here and just acquired these 2 different notes. I am wondering the rough value of each of these. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not an expert on either type, but they are both worth something even though very worn and circulated.
I'm guessing as I am away from my reference books right now....but the first note is probably $25-$100....the second note probably $50-$200. I'll guestimate both are in VF-20 maybe VF-25 condition.
I'm sure the experts will chime in soon. Patience....![:D :D](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Thanks for your quick response.
Look forward to hearing from some others
The Friedberg Number for the $1 SC is Fr. 238....my low-end is probably even too generous as you'd need a PMG-40 or so to get $50 or so. In Grades under 25, this bill sells for $10-$15 tops.
The Large Dollar Legal Tender Note is Fr. 36....in VF-25'ish grade I'd say it's $25-$35.
Someone here who is more familiar with these bills will have lots more info. on the current market.
Thanks for the updated estimates.![:) :)](https://forums.collectors.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
Both have Speelman/White signatures making the SC a Fr.237 and the LT a Fr.39.
I would value the SC under $50 and the LT under $150. They both still have good color, it just that they’ve been folded a lot when they were circulating.
I think that VF is fair for each and I'd value the 1923 at $25-$35 and the 1917 at about twice that. That would be a lower retail price. One could ask more but these are readily available, so you should be able to find them in this range.
Agree with this. I purchase lower grade 1923 SC's when I find them at local shops and in that condition I can usually get them at $25-30. I like to give them away to people that have never seen a large note before.
I don't get any of the 1917 notes to give away because while I like to be generous, I don't have the pockets of Scrooge McDuck.
