I used the random country generator again to select Luxembourg as the February Country of the Month.

Does anyone here collect coins from Luxembourg? It's not a country that I've had any numismatic interest in but that will change this month.

Show us your Luxembourg coins and let's discuss the numismatic history and coins from this small country.

Luxembourg issued these three commemorative coins in 1946.

They commemorate Jang de Blannen (John the Blind) (1296-1346) who was the Count of Luxembourg.
I bought this set by mail from Luxembourg in 1964.

    Luxembourg 50 Francs 1946

    Beautiful set

Thanks for posting the above coins everyone. Unfortunately I blew my budget, by some margin, this month on some other coins but I will pick up a nice John the Blind coin next month.

    Peace

I actually bought this coin on the last day of February.

Shopping for something from Cyprus now :)
