Could you get anything canceled back in the day?

I primarily post in the U.S. coin forum but this was something I couldn't pass up buying as I thought it was unusual with the 1964 Kennedy Half Dollar photo. Has anyone come across anything similar to this? It is a photo on thick card stock. Thanks!

If it had the correct postage many different things could be cancelled for philatelic reasons. There is nothing unusual about the two you show.

    I agree with the above.

Years ago I sent some photos with the then-current first class postage stamp attached to Washington, DC and had them canceled with the special "Inauguration Day" postmark.
