Those of you that buy OBW rolls (original bank wrapped)....

I'm talking vintage, at least pre 65. Do you keep the rolls intact as an investment or do you open them? I don't think I could resist the temptation of opening them. Looking on the bay, there are so many obvious fakes, you would really have to know what you are doing to not get scammed.

Need a Barber Half with ANACS photo certificate. If you have one for sale please PM me. Current Ebay auctions

I opened a few with some attractive end toners to see if any were worth grading. nope. some fb, some not, 65's 64's.. sadness.

I left the rest alone. they're worth more unopened.

I have a few dozen Federal Reserve Bank rolls, primarily pennies and dimes. Original rolls are very difficult to locate. I personally leave mine intact. Wish I could find a few more. The vast majority of the rolls on eBay are clearly not original.

I have a decent collection of OBW wheat cent rolls. I bought a big group from a lady in Montana and just kept adding to them after that. I will keep them sealed.
