Some guy sold this to a local shop here in town this past week. He said he won it as a grand prize at some game in Reno a long time ago...

Never seen anything like it.
Any manufacturer marks on the back.
Is that a gold saint?
It's a gold eagle with Roman numerals and crazy colorful toning. I forget the date. It's stamped on the backside as "Frontier Silver" inside a circle.
The shop was asking $3100 which is probably very fair. It's sterling but unclear if the Comstock and Miners are also gold. I'm guessing they are.

$3100 seems in the ball park maybe even at melt which would be a PITA and cost you. The letters are 14K, the Eagle is $2700 in gold (31 grams of gold). It is about 100 grams of silver and 14k plus the eagle.
Thank you. I don't have an account here but I appreciate the find. Can you tell me when it sold and for how much?

Sorry I don't have an account there either.
Surely someone here does though and can look it up.
