NASCAR soon to return with their Super Bowl race. I realize not much interest here. But for the few that have that interest, would welcome any comments,news etc.
Larson and Bell are the top 2 in the betting circles to win the championship 🏆.

I think it's interesting NASCAR has their biggest and most prestigious race to begin their season. The rest after that seems to be anticlimactic to the Daytona.
I agree. Must be a way to get the juices flowing with the fan base.
But there is some exciting action later in the year with Talladega,Homestead, among others.
Talk of the Daytona 500 brings back memories when I was an Air Traffic Controller there. Working the blimp was fun, and when the race was over, those drivers wanted to get out of there fast. So many private jets in such a short period of time. Really had to keep on your toes during all those departures.
Exciting thing to watch the race. If you ever get to go, its really quite and event to witness.
I'll be watching but it's sad that I hardly know who is even racing now a days!

The Clash was a good start to the season. Larson is once again the Ship fav. No surprise there.

That ain't gonna happen. NASCAR has gone full circle for me - now I'm back to just watching it for the wrecks. My watching heyday was when Rusty Wallace and Dale Earnhardt were still racing.

Alway rooted for Kenny Schraeder until he retired. These days it's Chase.
If you mean Chase Elliot, he has been in a bit of a slump since his 2023 snowboarding injury.

Am hoping for no rain for the race Sunday. Early reports said 62% chance of rain.
Wild ending,as usual, at the "Great American Race". Rain delays caused a later finish but was well worth the wait. Had the usual wrecks, 29 cars total. My play Byron won the race, but only played him for a top 5 finish. Regardless, am happy with the results. My other play Bell was second late, but got wrecked. The race under the lights really is impressive. Our President was there at the start,Thunderbirds fly over, and AF 1 did a fly over as well. Pitbull sang,end of race fireworks. Hope the fans enjoyed the long day, all 175,000 of them. On to Atlanta.
Most races in Florida have a good chance of rain.
I will be rooting for Chase Elliot!
Chase's team mate won so I am happy. The # 24 has won its share of races for sure as it was Jeff Gordons number who is still involved with it! Great race.
Now we can get on to my favorite sport ! BASEBALL is back so go Red Sox!
We are Red Sox fans. 15 or so years ago we made our first trip to Fenway. Impressive. David Wells had a no hitter going into the 7th. Did not get one.
Team Hendrick won its 10th Daytona. Surpassing Petty's 9 wins.
