Hey guys just wanted to know if the stairs on this 1988 p nickel damaged or its a error thank you for advice

What are you seeing that makes you think it is an error? Help us to help you. Off hand, I see a soft strike. No damage, no error.
Thank you it's just the stairs are shaped like a block instead of stairs
Please define "error".
If you define "error" as anything short of perfection then yes, that is an error. And so is everything else.
Most people don't use that definition.
In either case, your coin is self-descriptive. It's worth exactly what it says it's worth: five cents.
What error do you think would cause the stairs to look like this?
